L-carnitine is an important component of the metabolism. It enables long-chain fatty acids to be transported from the cytosol into the mitochondria (the ‘power stations’ of the cells), where they can then be used to generate energy. Alongside carbohydrates, fats are our most important sources of energy. This is why carnitine is also found in almost all tissues and body fluids. The highest concentration (around 80 %) is found in skeletal muscle.
On a chemical level, L-carnitine is a β-hydroxy-γ-trimethyl-aminobutyric acid. The body can produce it from the amino acids lysine and methionine with the support of nutrients such as vitamin C, vitamin B6, niacin and iron or absorb it from food. L-carnitine is found in almost all tissues and body fluids in the human body. Particularly high concentrations are found in skeletal muscle (around 80 % of all L-carnitine) and in the heart muscle.
Athletes should take L-carnitine around 30-60 minutes before training. Ideally, it should be taken on an empty stomach. Anyone who suffers from sleep disorders should take carnitine in the morning or at lunchtime, as the substance can have a stimulating effect. We recommend a daily intake of 3 g per day. High doses (over 4 g per day) are not recommended as they can cause gastrointestinal complaints (e.g. diarrhoea).

Für mich ist das ein tolles Produkt, dass ich schon seit einem Jahr regelmässig vor dem Training nehme. Ich würde nicht mehr darauf verzichten. In der Einnahme / Handhabung empfinde ich es einfacher als in Kapselform.

Der erste Eindruck passt. Feines weißes pulver, ich gebe es zu einem Getränk mit Geschmack, ansonsten riecht und schmeckt es neutral.
