Bloating (in medical parlance called meteorism) is the accumulation of air or gas in the digestive tract, in most cases in the stomach or large intestine. The accompanying symptoms of meteorism are pain in the lower and upper abdomen, nausea, vomiting, bloating, bowel and stomach odours, stool irregularities, and flatulence.

We have developed our Nutri-Plus Entlüfter to reduce bloating and the feeling of fullness after a meal. The contained medicinal plants and spices such as black seed, ginger, turmeric, fennel, camomile, peppermint and cinnamon bark extract have a relaxing effect on the gastrointestinal tract and help to dissolve the accumulated air in the stomach.

Mint has a growth-inhibiting effect on the gas-forming intestinal bacteria. Camomile has a spasmolytic effect on the stomach and intestinal muscles. Studies have shown that the anti-inflammatory components in camomile have a positive effect on stomach ulcers and gastritis. Peppermint also has an antispasmodic and calming effect. One study shows that peppermint reduces the symptoms of irritable bowel Syndrome (IBS). This is also proven by a clinical study with the active ingredient turmeric.

Ginger and pepper have stimulating effects on saliva, gastric juice and bile production as well as the release of digestive enzymes. In addition, studies show that ginger inhibits the growth of Heliobacter pylori, a bacterium that colonises the human gastrointestinal tract. It is held responsible for the development of stomach ulcers and chronic gastritis, for example.
