Vitamin B12 + Folic Acid Tablets
In our often stressful everyday lives, it is not always easy to consume sufficient amounts of all the important nutrients. That is why we have developed our high-quality Vitamin B12 + Folic Acid product—an optimal power duo that supports your body in many ways.
Why are vitamin B12 and folic acid so important?
Vitamin B12:
- Vitamin B12 contributes to normal red blood cell formation
- Vitamin B12 contributes to normal nervous system function
- Vitamin B12 contributes to normal energy metabolism
Folic acid/Folate:
- Folate contributes to normal blood formation
- Folate contributes to normal amino acid synthesis
- Folate contributes to the growth of maternal tissue during pregnancy
Folic acid/Folate and Vitamin B12:
- play a role in cell division
- contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue
- contribute to the normal function of the immune system
- contribute to normal psychological function
- contribute to normal homocysteine metabolism
Please note: Folate is the generic term for the water-soluble vitamin. Various folate compounds are found in food. Folic acid is the synthetically produced form of the vitamin and is used in dietary supplements and fortified foods.
Vitamin B12 and folic acid: ideal in combination
Vitamin B12 and folic acid are closely linked in our bodies and have many functions in common. A vitamin B12 deficiency indirectly causes a folic acid deficiency because the deficiency disrupts folic acid metabolism. Conversely, vitamin B12 cannot fulfill its role in homocysteine breakdown without folic acid— both vitamins are therefore interdependent, which is why a combination is so important.
nutri+ Vitamin B12 + Folic Acid Tablets
Our nutri+ Vitamin B12 + Folic Acid Tablets contain a proven combination of two high-quality forms of vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin and hydroxocobalamin) as well as highly bioavailable folic acid, known under the brand name Quatrefolic®. The active form methylcobalamin and the special depot effect of hydroxocobalamin not only provide the body with vitamin B12 directly, but also over the long term.
With just one tablet a day, you get an optimal high dose of vitamin B12 and folic acid with the best bioavailability. One tablet contains 500 µg of vitamin B12 and 200 µg of folic acid per daily serving. One bottle contains 365 tablets, which is enough for a whole year's supply when taken daily.
Note: Since vitamin B12 is mainly found in animal-based foods, supplementation is particularly recommended for vegetarians and vegans.

Vitamin B12 is found almost exclusively in animal-based foods, so it is particularly important for vegans and vegetarians to take this vitamin in the form of dietary Supplements.
Quatrefolic® contains the active form of folic acid, known as L-5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid glucosamine salt. This form is very stable and has excellent bioavailability. This active form is known under the brand name Quatrefolic®.
Tetrahydrofolate is the natural and bioactive form of folic acid. Folic acid must first be converted into tetrahydrofolate in the body in order to perform important functions. We therefore avoid this intermediate step and use the branded product Quatrefolic® in our tablets, which contains the active form of folic acid.
A folic acid deficiency during pregnancy can lead to miscarriages, malformations, developmental disorders, and premature births. This is because folic acid (or folate) contributes to the growth of maternal tissue during pregnancy. Folic acid is also crucial for the development of the neural tube, the first stage of development of the nervous system. An insufficient intake of folic acid can therefore increase the risk of neural tube defects. Pregnant women in particular should therefore ensure that they have an adequate intake of folic acid.
Important: Women who are planning to have children should ensure that they have an adequate intake of folic acid even before pregnancy.
This is because folic acid is urgently needed for the development of the embryo in the first few weeks after conception, even before the pregnancy test is positive. It is therefore advisable to take a folic acid supplement once you have decided to have a baby and after consulting your doctor.
