What is Shilajit?
Shilajit (also known as Mumijo) is a naturally occurring, dark, resin-like substance found primarily in high-altitude mountain regions such as the Himalayas. It forms over a very long period through the natural decomposition of plant materials under the influence of microorganisms and geological processes and has been part of Ayurvedic nutrition for centuries.
The characteristic components of Shilajit include fulvic acids and humic acids, which belong to the group of humic substances.
