FAQ about Vegan Protein Ice Cream with Mango & Passion Fruit
How can I make protein ice cream at home?
You do not need an ice cream maker to make homemade protein ice cream. Simply blend frozen fruit with protein powder, plant-based yogurt and a little plant-based drink until creamy. This creates a soft-serve-like texture in just a few minutes.
Which protein powder is suitable for vegan protein ice cream?
The nutri+ 3K Protein Mango Passion Fruit is particularly suitable for this fruity protein ice cream. Its tropical flavor pairs perfectly with frozen mango, banana and fresh passion fruit.
Can I make high-protein ice cream without an ice cream maker?
Yes. A high-speed blender is all you need. For an especially creamy consistency, you can eat the protein ice cream straight after blending. If you prefer a firmer texture, freeze it for another 1 to 2 hours.
How can I prevent homemade protein ice cream from becoming too hard?
Homemade protein ice cream becomes firmer the longer it stays in the freezer. Let it soften at room temperature for around 10 to 15 minutes before eating. Banana and soy yogurt also help create a creamy consistency.
Can I prepare vegan protein ice cream in advance?
Yes. You can store the ice cream in a sealed container in the freezer. For the creamiest consistency, however, it tastes best freshly prepared or after only around 1 to 2 hours in the freezer.
